One year stats

Presley (right) - 25 pounds 15 ounces and 30 inches long (95%/50%)
Cyrus - 25 pounds 5 ounces and 30.5 inches long (90%/50%)

I think we made the doctor's day when we where there because she got to witness Paul and I argue over which baby was which (Paul won).  She said she couldn't wait to tell everyone.  It is hard to tell these boys apart most days ;)

Happy 1st birthday!

Happy Birthday to our two favorite people in the entire world!!

Wow!  Can you believe this was one year ago?  Where does the time fly?  What a perfect year it has been.  Full of struggles and sleepless nights, sure, but looking back those days and nights are heavily overshadowed by the love, support and happy times we have enjoyed since the arrival of our sweet babies.  There is really nothing to say other then WE ARE BLESSED.  Blessed with perfect little boys who make us so happy.  Blessed by family who have carried us at times during this past year.  Blessed by friends who have done more for us then we ever imagined possible.  To everyone, we say Thank You!!!  We have enjoyed sharing this wonderful ride with each of you.
God has certainly been good to us. :)

Fiesta!!

It's Fiesta time in San Antonio!  Tomorrow is the Battle of the Flowers (which means that most schools and a lot of businesses are closed in SA), so the boys' school had a parade today for all the kindergarten and younger kids.  The older kids sat along the parade route (parking lot) and cheered them on.  Cy and Presley are in the process of moving up to the 12-18 month class (sniff sniff) and their new class wore puppy dog (boys) and kitty cat (girl) costumes.
The class took up two of these strollers, but Cy and Presley were in the lead stroller (Cy up front and Pres in the back)

The class teachers made the t-shirts and the head pieces for all the kids.
Cy and his buddy Jackson were the only two who left their ears on for the parade.  How cute are they? ;)
Paul took some video of the parade too...

Buddies

Cy and Presley have a new friend!  Peyton was born on Thursday, April 7 and we could not be more excited.  I have a feeling these boys will be best friends before too long.  They will be spending LOTS of time together :).
They were so upset that they couldn't go with mommy and daddy to the hospital to meet Peyton, but they made him a sign!

Craig and Alyse with Peyton the night he was born
The boys finally got to meet the little man himself last night.  New dad, Josh is holding Presley, Marco has Peyton and daddy is with Cy.
C & P's other friend, Jackson came over to play and have dinner on Saturday night.  They think he is pretty cool since he can run around by himself.  Soon they will get moved up to his class at school so they will get to spend lots of time together!

Kissy Kissy

Hmmm...when does open mouth kissing become inappropriate for brothers??  Hopefully not for a while!  Their kisses are too cute :).

Presley is doing the kissing, by the way.

New heavyweight champ

It's Cy!  He weighed one whole once more than Presley today when we went to the doctor.  Presley has always been the heavyweight in our house, but Cy is making a charge as we get close to their one year birthday.  Cy doesn't look so happy about the weight gain...
The sad part of the story is that we were at the doctor because Presley has pneumonia.  We made our first ER visit with Presley last night but he is on antibiotic and hopefully will get well soon.
 Poor baby!!!

Palo Alto

We went to NoCal for a long weekend last week during Paul's spring break.  It was the first time Paul's grandmother and grandad, aunt and cousins met the boys.  We had two successful flights with the boys although they only slept for maybe 30 minutes per 6 hour trip.  It was tiring for mom and dad!!!  It rained the whole time we were there so we spent a lot of time playing inside and the boys LOVED the stuffed dog and all the musical instruments that their cousins let them play with.  We made an excursion to a children's museum/zoo one afternoon and the boys really liked all the activities.  I will have to look for something similar here in SA :).  Now we are back to our routine and counting down to their 1st birthday!!  Less than a month to go...
Another successful plane trip.

9 months

We were a little grouchy at our 9 month appointment on Monday, so despite the fact that they only had 1 shot this time both boys were pretty put out with mommy.  It was worth it to leave their clothes undone and just give them their bottles to stop the screaming on our way out of the office.

Both Cy and Pres had great check-ups!  Cy is 50% across the board (head, length, weight) and Presley was 50% length, 60% head and 90%(!) for weight.  Cy probably would have been right there with Presley in weight but he had lost about 2.5 pounds two weeks earlier with a stomach bug.  Presley is a little over 23 pounds and Cy is just over 21  pounds.  These are some hefty boys!  Hard to believe that their next check up will be one year.  Holy cow!!!

Brush, Brush, Brush

With all the new teeth the boys have gotten they are learning a new skill...how to brush teeth!
It's especially important now that we are eating things like...
Cheese and

Veggies and Bananas
Their new favorite food is pancakes.  They share one in the morning for breakfast.  Funny story from this morning is that Presley had finished all the pancake pieces off of his plate and then proceeded to pick the plate up and try to lick it in search of more food.  We'll have to start working a little harder on our manners ;).

All we got for Christmas is our two front teeth

It was a painful, slobber filled week, but the two top teeth for Cy and Presley made their appearance around Christmas.  It was much more intense than when the bottom teeth came in.  Presley cut two more teeth on the top last week and Cy's are coming in this week for a grand total of 6 teeth each!
