Saturday out on the town

This past Saturday came around and all the Oler's decided we needed to get out of town.  So we made a big excursion all the way to Castroville to spend the day with Craig and Alyse!  By big excursion, I mean a 30 minute drive, but it feels like a different world being out on their beautiful property and away from what I like to affectionately call da hood (our house).
Craig and Paul have exams coming up so Paul studied most of the day and Craig worked on some wonderful treats that I'll tell ya about later.  Alyse and I just took it easy with the boys doing what we do (which would be eating).  Later that night we headed to the Castroville hotspot of Cora's for some of their famous nachos.  The last and only other time I had been to Cora's was when I was pregnant and the waitress so kindly pointed out to me that I probably wouldn't fit in the booth she had taken us to.  Yikes!  That was embarassing (and I DID fit, thank you very much!).
Cy was pretty happy at Cora's.  He loves to get kisses :)

Presley couldn't eat the nachos, but he seems to think his hand is a pretty good alternative!
Check out my new skills!
Josh and Craig share the love
Hangin with the boys!
I told you in an earlier post that Cy and Craig have bonded.  Trust me.  Cy has a special ability to fill and explode out of a diaper whenever Craig is near.  Luckily for us it doesn't keep him away.
Cy doesn't look as big as I think he is when Josh holds him!
Cy flirting with Ashley.  He really is quite the flirt.  Watch out ladies...Cy is already working on his moves!

"Dad, we're supposed to be looking at the camera and mom..."
"I am looking, Presley -- what are you doing???"
There we go!  So I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Presley looks a teensy little bit like his daddy.  Um, yeah.  I would call them twins, but Presley already has one of those.

This is a little bit embarassing for a family photo.  It is the first picture we have had together since July 4th.  Check it out...3 out of 4 Oler's are wearing the exact same clothes in both pictures.  We are so cool.

After Cora's delicious nachos the guys went out to shoot skeet.
We joined them for abuot 3 minutes while they set up and then hit the road to avoid the noise.
But then there were some problems with the golf cart.  Ashley held Cy and steered the cart while pressing the accelerator.  Alyse jumped out of the cart and pushed us.  Me?  I sat in the back, held Presley and took the occasional picture.  So helpful.
Moving again!  Cy has got the wind in his hair!
The boys finished out the night with a good dinner and Cy passed OUT.
Presley was a little more interested in playin peek a boo!
Alyse's grandparents came over to visit and play with the boys.  They love Nano and Poppy!
And to make a good day just about perfect...Craig made homemade vanilla ice cream and peach cobbler in his dutch oven.  SO delish.

More Video & Pics

More pictures!  We always have more pictures...they just tend to get loaded on my computer and then forgotten.  A lot of these may actually be from my phone so they aren't the clearest pictures, but their handsomeness comes through all the same! ;)
Cy & Presley

This time it is Cy's interpretation of a Buddha Baby.
Remember Presley's version?

GP and Presley - he looks a little scared in this picture!
Get comfortable, dude. (Presley)
Craig came over one night while I had bible study and hung out with Paul and the boys.
He and Cy bonded.

Cy loves GP.  The hand in the mouth has become a constant for both boys.  We are seeing a lot of drool as a result.

Bumbo-rama

We have two bumbo experts at the Oler house these days (if there is such a thing)!  They are both getting so strong through their chest and necks and will sit for a pretty long time in the bumbo before they get mad.  Both boys love to look around at everything and want to be sitting up -- the bumbo gives them the freedom to do that.  My favorite thing is to set them in the bumbos facing each other and watch them interact.  They don't always pay attention to each other, but it is such a cool thing when one of them will catch the other's eye and they grin at each other.  I have been waiting to see that recognition ever since they were born!

Our first cold

Poor guys have been fighting a runny nose/cough for 7 weeks now.  We keep waiting for it to go away but it just isn't happening.  I feel so bad for them, but they are just as happy as ever and haven't run a fever, so we are lucky in that way.  Because of their cough they have been sleeping in their carseats with a humidifier right in front of them.  It doesn't look too comfortable but they still sleep through the night and really don't mind the change.  The humidifier is a cute little elephant and last week we had to buy a nebulizer for their medicine and it is a little penguin.  We are starting quite the zoo collection of baby medicinal gadgets.  Please pray for these babies that this cough goes away soon!

Cy & Presley {heart} Evie

Cy & Presley L-O-V-E their cousin Evie.  And she loves them.  Evie is so good with them both and loves to pat their backs and tummies, hold hands and give kisses.  If the boys are laying next to each other on the ground she will ask you to make space for her in between them so she can sit right in the middle and hold hands with them both.  Cy & Presley are big time hand holders these days - anytime they are next to each other they will grab for one another and hold hands.
A couple of weeks ago we were at the Whiteside's for dinner and Presley was very entertained by Evie.  I got a video of some of the fun, and my favorite part is at the end when Evie goes in for the big kiss!

3 months old!

Our little dudes are getting bigger every day.  They hit the three month mark last week and it is just so hard to believe that the time has passed so quickly.  Really just wanted to post a lot of pics because I love to look at these guys!

Presley
Cy
(don't they look a lot alike?  I had to look several times at these
photos to make sure I labeled them correctly!!)
Cy smiling

They were smiling so much before I took this picture but every
time I pulled the camera out Presley would become fixated on
it and would stop smiling.  Cy did not seem to have that problem.
A little side note about Presley's hair.  This picture below is after I have worked VERY hard to comb it down.  We generally spike it up because thats what it wants to do naturally, but seriously check out the poof his hair gets.  It is out of control!  Cy on the other hand has very cooperative hair except for the very ends.  His hair lays so smoothly on his head and then the very end pieces will kink out away from his scalp at a 90 degree angle.  It is too funny.

Happy Cy
This is how we do it at the Oler house.  It looks like a happy picture from the back but if you could see the faces of the boys you would know they were NOT happy campers at the time of this photo.  (Cy on left, Presley on right)
The Oler men (Cy left, Presley right)
They are both getting so strong during their tummy time.  Cy looks so inquisitive here.
Presley was thinking it was time for a nap and he was not so excited with having to exercise.
I don't like having to choose one favorite photo from a series so instead I am just going to post them all...
both smiling!!!
Cy was constantly linking his arm with Presley's during playtime.  It was so cute, although I don't know that it was necessarily an intentional move on his part.
We are about to start adding bumbo time to our daily exercise routine.  This was just an experiment to see how they would do.  Probably will wait a few more weeks before they really start spending time sitting up.  It seems to be a little too much effort at this point.
Presley
Cy is definitely into the hand holding, arm linking, touchy-feely thing.  He just really loves his brother!!!
Cracks me up!  (Presley)
