Happy 2nd Birthday!

We had a baseball themed party for C+P over the weekend and it was so much fun!  Of course, it was specifically a Chicago Cubs baseball party, and we were all decked out in our gear :)
A friend of mine had given me this bounce house a while back and it was a big hit at the party.  Perfect size for little 1 and 2 year olds!
Cy was so sleepy.  Nothing a little sugar couldn't fix!
Presley enjoying some juice with his friend Zelma

A baseball party isn't complete unless you have hot dogs, popcorn and cracker jacks!
They spent a lot of time here.
Getting ready to blow out candles

We sang to them separately...Presley was up first.
 And Cy.
The cookie tasted even better than they looked.  So delicious!
Cy has perked up after some juice and cake :)
 Happy Birthday!!!
Cousin pic.  Grammy and Pop gave the boys this water table but it was really windy so we didn't fill it up with water.  All the boys wanted to do was sit in it.  Must be pretty sturdy to hold over 60 pounds!

Port A

Right after Christmas we took the boys to Port Aransas for the day.  Paul has been wanting to see the Texas coast and we thought the boys would have fun playing on the beach.  It worked out that we went on a day when the weather was perfect and we had a lot of fun actually playing in the water.  (and by we I mean they.  I am not a huge fan of the ocean.  But all three Oler boys love it!)
Cy is ready to check it all out.
Presley ran all the way out here and just stopped and stared.  He was fascinated by the waves coming and going.
WIth some encouragement from Daddy Pres was ready to head in to the water
Cy had almost no fear of the water.  He would walk in as far as he could and bend over to splash in the waves.  I didn't think we would ever be able to get him back to the car!
I love this of the 3 Oler boys :)
Cy is just so happy!
If you listen carefully you can hear Cy yelling everytime he kicks at the water.

We definitely are planning an overnight trip to the coast this summer after seeing how much fun C & P had on our afternoon trip!

Muscle Men

A while back my dad was watching the boys and he taught them how to do push ups.  Since then their form has kind of deteriorated (they need another lesson Pop!) but they still get down on all fours and bob around when you tell them to do a push up.  They also love to jump and do pull ups on Paul's bar.  Sounds like a good workout to me!  It is certainly more than anything I do!!

I'm With the Band

Cy and Presley have always loved music.  Even the music that comes out of my mouth, and let me tell you most people wouldn't call that music.  They love to sing and dance and recently we noticed that they liked to play with this blow up guitar that Paul and I brought home from a wedding we attended.

So for Christmas we got them each a guitar that plays music and a microphone that amplifies your voice and also plays songs.  I don't know where they learn this stuff but both of them put the mike's right to their mouth and began strumming their guitars.
I am telling you the boys are naturals.  Fame and fortune are not far behind!
Pres
Cy loves to sing and is very encouraging of everyone else to sing with him.
Presley cracks us up because when he plays or sings he will scrunch up his face and close his eyes as if he is in the middle of some big jam.  It is so awesome.
Oler Boy Band
They even have long, rock star hair (or at least they did!).
Finally got them in for hair-cuts...But even without their guitar or microphone they are working the rock-star shades :)

Christmas

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas in San Antonio this year and were fortunate enough to be joined by all the grandparents!  Paul's dad came in a week before Christmas to stay with us and my parents joined us as well.
On Friday night we all went down to the Riverwalk for Mexican food and a boat ride.  The boys love music and were fascinated by the Mariachi singing Feliz Navidad.
Both are getting much more independent about wanting to walk everywhere.  Made me a little nervous by the river!
Cy looks a little unsure about the boat ride.  He ended up running a fever for the next couple of days, so I think he was just a little out of sorts.
Looking better :)

Presley enjoyed looking over the side of the boat

On Saturday we went to a Christmas Eve service at church and then had our friends over for an Italian dinner.  Jackson is a few months older than the boys and he has twin baby sisters that were born at the end of November.  I think these girls will get plenty of attention ;)
Christmas morning the boys woke up to find a train set waiting for them.  They loved it!  It also kept diverting their attention from any other present opening.  They wanted to run back to the train between every gift.
Presley checking out his Diego movie
Aunt Susan and Uncle Scott sent books, trucks and stuffed animals.  Three of our very favorite things!
The microphone will get a post of its own very soon!
Grandpa helping with the train
It was a wonderful Christmas and Paul and I loved sharing it with our parents and Cy and Presley.

Santa at the Zoo

The boys and I made plans to meet the Whiteside's at the zoo this past weekend and found out when we got there that Santa was in the Children's area with hot chocolate and cookies!  Cy walked right up to Santa but did not want to touch him or to be touched by Santa.  Presley held on to me pretty tightly but didn't cry.  He was definitely curious as long as he was in the safety of mom's arms!  When Paul is done with school we are going to try and take them to get an "official" Santa photo.  We'll see how that goes...

Excited for some colder weather

They are obsessed with their gloves and hats from last year.  Cy found them in a drawer and now they both take them everywhere.  Even now when it is back to 80 degrees.  These guys have a style all their own.

Halloween

We had such a great Halloween this year!  The boys were cavemen (because they remind me of Bam Bam) and were much more comfortable in their costumes this year.  We went to a Trunk or Treat at a nearby church with some friends and it was perfect.  The boys got to trick or treat and then go inside to the festival where they danced their little booties off.
